Hello,

In the previous versions of Mobile Shell, I had the problem that for a few applications, the window title bar would not show, instead the top of the Mobile Shell screen would appear (as if the application window was 'cut' at the top). Now this seems solved but I have the opposite problem: for some full screen applications (like the HTC Album), a title bar appears when they are launched from Mobile Shell while it should remain hidden. Could it be that a fix for the original issue is creating new problems??

Thanks,

Hello,

First, excuse me for my poor english.

I've bought my first Windows Mobile PDA Phone (after a lots of Palm and Linux based devices).
Now i'm choosing a RSS client, I've made lots of tests, and Spb Insignt is one of the two soft I perfer.

But i'm a bit disapointed with te lack of auto-refresh facility, wich made the today plugin nearly useless. And the Today plugin is for me the main element of my final choice.

I've see that this functionality is often quoted in the wishlist. Have you any idea of the date of availability for this function ?

Thank by advance for your answer,
Hi,

It seems that for the last few months there has been very little in the way of updates to SPB products. Last year it seemed as if most products got updated or tweaked farily regularly but since then there seems to have been little change.

Do people think that this is simply because the products are all now perfect (I think they are all great but there is always room for improvement!) or that there is something major on the way that we should all be getting excited about?

I'm hoping for something new and exciting.
Fix will appear really soon, I'll post on this forum to confirm the new release.

Thanks to every people that reported me this problem and have been waiting a long time for the new version to be released.

Hi Vincent,

I guess I know what is the problem. The issue is that freemeteo retains the C/F units setting within the browser cookies.
To workaround the problem I browse the freemeteo site from my PPC IE, select proper settings for the units and let the whole page download to complete. Now I have an appropriate cookie stored on my pocket telling your template to display the desired temperature units notwithstanding of the SPB settings. From time to time the cookie is being lost - then I receive Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. In such a case I repeat the freemeteo access sequence.

Finally if there is a way to convince freemeteo site to use the particular units from the command line - you have a permanent solution.

Good luck and thanks for your great work.
Hi guys,

First off: wow! That was the most detailed answer I have ever seen on a forum. Love it, and many thanks!

Second: I am not totally new to the mobile world: I have an XDA IIi that is getting old so am thinking of getting something along the lines of the O2 XDA Stellar (or T-Mobile MDA Vario III).

I guess that shell program is worth a look at then. One thing I really hate with the standard calendar is that I cannot see all day entries in weekly or monthly view. For instance I put the kids holidays in there and then always have to switch to daily view to try and find them: how annoying! So I am hoping the SPB Diary would solve that.

Also, at one time I had the resco package on my machine which does photos, a wonderful today plugin and other neat stuff like encrypting files etc. Have you ever seen that as well, and does it compare well to the SPB Suite?

I guess the best way will be to test out the SPB stuff when I get the phone (prob within next three weeks) and see if it does what I am hoping for.

I also want to install a great outlook add-in from Franklin-Covey that lets you organise your whole life better. Again, I am not sure how that will sit alongside the SPB software, but let's see. I can highly recommend the Franklin-Covey software btw. as it changes outlook having a neat screen with everything on it and also has a slightly different way of handling tasks (it uses the A1 method of doing them, A, B and C being the importance of the task, and 1, 2, 3 the next level importance).

Again thanks for the great insight. WELL appreciated!
