|
|
Hi all.
because the structure of icons and indicators in Spb Pocket Plus 4 is changed old icon sets and extended themes are not working any more. So if you have your own indicators or icons and you are frustrated that it doesn't work now you can visit this page to convert your iconsets to current format:
http://pocket-plus.softspb.com/iconsets/iconset.php
In case you want to covert old indicators contact me by email.
Few words about changes in icons format:
An icon set consists of three .png files. Each file contains similar icons of one of three specific sizes: 16x16, 32x32, and 64x64.
Each file consist of one line with icons on transparent background.
Feel the difference with old format
Each zip file contains .cab and .exe files for easy iconset installation (use it in case Spb Pocket Plus is installed to main memory in other case PP will not find it) and .dat files that you can copy to "\Program Files\PocketPlus\Icons" folder.

I attempted to convert the SPB Classic Extended IconSet to the new version of Pocket Plus by first installing the old icon set and copying the 3 PNG files it drops. I used the web tool to convert those 3 PNGs to the new format and it appeared to work successfully. I then uninstalled the old icons and installed the newly created ones. However, the new set had no transparency and the icons were spilling into each other. Totally unusable. I tried to attach the PNG files here but they are too large. I look forward to the update of the Classic Extended IconSet.

| How do I get rid of the icons for the tabs so it is just text like in the old version?

Every time I try to convert I get the same type of error message for 16,32 & 64
16 Example below:
Error. X.png file does not have 16 pixels in height.
What am I doing wrong?

| They're actually several of the ones in the other forum topic that people previously submitted to you to convert for them.

Hey crr2nd,
I had this issues as well, you need to check that the actual canvas size is in fact 16 pixels, when I had a look at mine it was 18 pixels, I just cut all the icons off and corrected the canvas size and then pasted the icons back (using Adobe Fireworks CS3).
I will post my conversions that I have done in another post below.
Cheeers

Thanks a r l e y
I am going to go through and collate all the icons I have and ones that members would like for their applications so that I can then have a comprehensive collection of icons.
What applications / software icons do members really need?
I currently have icons for the following applications...
* Opera (x3)
* MemMaid
* Newsbreak
* Sprite Backup (oops should be SPB Backup)
* XnView Photo
* Tweaks 2K2
* TextMaker
* PlanMaker
* Emulator (x3)
* Mobipocket
* My Personal Diet
* My Sport Training
* uBook
* Mapopolis
* TomTom
* Remote (Novii Deluxe or other IRD Remote)
* eReader
* Arvale
* Resco Radio
(I have others but still collecting more)
I currently have icons for the following MS OS applications...
* Calender
* Contacts
* Word
* Excel
* Outlook
* PowerPoint
If you have any other apps / software please advise and I will try and collect them all together and convert for P+
Cheers
Jace
