We are happy to announce that Spb Mobile Shell 2.1.1 Beta 1 (build 3482) is available for open beta testing.

You can download the beta version at

The list of changes:
- Stability bug fixes
- Performance bug fixes
- Fixes for password prompt related bugs
- Fixes for device lock
- Better support for new device models
- Other bug fixes

This release contains only bug fixes and is not designed to add new features.

To keep this beta program efficient, please post your feedback in separate threads with [Beta 2.1.1] prefix in the subject line.

The list of changes:
- Fixed backlight indicator on Diamond (and some other devices with automatic backlight)
- Fixed signal strenght icon
- Fixed a "cannot unlock device" scenario when password and keylock are used at the same time

The list of changes (from Beta 2 to Beta 3):
- Improved black theme design (background, popups, Spb Contacts)
- Fixed bug with dialing from a contact card on some devices
- Impelemented compatibility with custom "unofficial" themes (operator info, layout shifts in response on taps under certain conditions)
- Opera support: favourites, history, shortcut (only for Opera 9.5 OEM builds; e. g. HTC Diamond)
- Improved gestures recognition
- Fixed crash on devices with unsupported backlight

A note to unofficial after-market skin users:
We fixed problems with unofficial skins that we were able to reproduce in our office (operator name and layout shifts during taps). However, there are still might be some issues with some unofficial skins since the underlying rendering engine was changed quite a bit.
